The Emages Elder Statesman Award (The Golden Award) showcases the success of an individual lifetime work in Nigerian. The Elder Statesman Awards was established in 2019 to honor outstanding Nigeria who, by their efforts over an extended period of years, have made contributions of significant value and have reflected credit upon Nigeria and themselves to their motherland as patriots.
Do you know an individual that deserves recognition for going over and above the call of duty when it comes to Nation building and development? Maybe he or she have saved the day from issues that might have led to image destructions or conflicts of interest or rescued scenarios that could have led to National Image Destruction? Elder Statesman of the Year–Criteria
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To be eligible for the Media Executive of the Year award, applicants should:
- Be able to demonstrate excellence in their role within the media industry (advertising, PR, television, music, film, entertainment, broadcasting, print, and/or internet-based media).
- Be employed in a full-time senior position for a private, public, not-for-profit, or government organization in Nigeria that reaches an annual turnover of N50m+.
- Be available to attend the awards from 4pm to 11pm on Saturday 27th October 2023 at EKO HOTEL & SUITE Lagos.
APPLICATION CRITERIA
As part of the application process, applicants are required to answer four equally weighted questions that refer to achievements in the past 12 months. Each answer has a maximum length of 200 words. The questions for Media Executive of the Year are outlined below.
- What were your main objectives this year, and how did you achieve them?
- How have you improved your management capabilities and how have you measured the effectiveness of your leadership?
- What are you doing to ensure your business is innovating more quickly, efficiently and effectively than the competition?
- Why should you win this award?

The Emages Elder Statesman Award (The Golden Award) honor dedication and commitment to the field, and acknowledge outstanding achievements in the practice of a statesman in the areas of Nation building, Leadership, Philanthropy, Peace Maker, Human Right Advocate and Research. Honoree is asked to share his or her experiences during the Emages Executive of the Year Awards with over 200 guests present on the 27th November 2021 at the Eko Hotel & Suite during the awards presentation. EMAGES pays tribute to an individual who has exemplified his or herself in all spheres of life. The EEA, EGA Awards honor leaders in five categories.
